Look Out Below! Bold & Beautiful Is Setting Up One Character for the Fall to End All Falls — and It’s Not the One You’d Expect
The Bold and the Beautiful has been working overtime to leave us anticipating the moment that Paris realizes how delusional she’s sounded, talking up one side and down the other about her deep connection and trust-based relationship with Thomas. Every word out of her mouth has left us going, “Really? Have you talked to your sister about how well her deep connection and trust-based relationship with Thomas went?”
But ironically, it isn’t Paris that we suspect is headed for a fall that’s so bad, it could break bones as well as her heart. We have a hunch that the show is going to let Thomas and Paris go through with their ill-advised marriage, thereby sending Hope careening into a downward spiral.
No, she isn’t the character who is set to crash and burn, either. That would be… Steffy. Yes, Steffy. Verklempt over Thomas and Paris’ nuptials — not to mention being “replaced” as Douglas’ mom — Hope will cry on Finn’s shoulder. And once those tears get his shirt all wet, off it will have to come — that is, if he’s wearing one in the first place.
Hope will finally act on the fantasies that she’s been having about her stepbrother-in-law, Finn will be forced to face that fact that his feelings for his wife’s rival aren’t entirely platonic, and Steffy will be left to pick up the pieces of a marriage that she had no idea was that close to dissolving.
Needless to say, Thomas and Paris’ union will go bust soon enough, too. The second he sees the object of his true affections with another man, he’ll break it to his bride that she was a placeholder, nothing more. He hadn’t meant to kid her, but he didn’t see that he was kidding himself thinking that he could get over Hope.
Suddenly, we’d have whatever comes after a love triangle. Steffy would have to actually Hope that Thomas can win back Hope so that she could reclaim Finn. Meanwhile, Paris could go full-on supervixen, doing what so rarely happens on Bold & Beautiful and warning her hubby that if he tries to divorce her, she’ll take him and his whole family to the cleaners.
